Illustration Friday: Quiet

This image came to me in bed last night: I dig those crazy birds that sing in the dead of the night when it's almost too quiet. There always seems to be one in every neighbourhood I live in. I'm not quite sure whether they are genuinely mad or just really happy.

This one's gorgeous Adi! So simple but with a lovely retro feel and sense of humour.

really like the process and thought how this came about....the illo really conveys that feel of the oblivious bird. always like topics that are open to multiple interpretations...

I like both illustration and story. My guess would be they're just happy... or they feel European maybe and day and night keep confusing them.
Nice lines and colours, great work!

OMG! that's so cute! You could get it on a dish the same shape, kinda shallow, and it would make such a cool nick-nack just to display around the house. I would buy something like that (well I would if I was earning that is!) its so cool!

I love it. :) Birds are the background music of life. :) God planned it well.

This expresses the beauty and introversion of art for me - the sense of working alone purely for the making of the art itself, and the energy that imparts to the maker - lovely!
